Green Jade: The word "Jade" can refer to specimens of either
Jadeite or Nephrite. Its derivation is from the Spanish piedra de ijada,
or "hip stone" . This comes from the past belief that it was a
protection and cure for kidney diseases. In ancient China, it was long used
for carving religious objects. In pre-Columbian Central America, it was
valued more highly than gold.
Mystic Lore:
Intuitive sources say that green Jade can assist in various types of self-healing,
both emotional and physical. It is associated with the heart, and is also
believed to help one to find prosperity and abundance |
