Turquoise is a copper aluminum phosphate mineral with a hardness
of 5 to 6. Its name means "Turkish stone", because early trade
routes brought it to Europe via Turkey. It has been used in amulets &
jewelry in Europe/Asia for thousands of years & is important in Native
American jewelry.
Mystic Lore:
Intuitive sources say Turquoise is a stone of wholeness, promoting the sense
of unity of the self and oneness with all that surrounds us. It is said
